We are people who take our spiritual life, ministry and mission seriously. We seek to make our faith a part of our daily lives and we have made a deep commitment to that end.
We believe that God’s Holy Spirit has called us together and bound us in covenant for a particular purpose and mission in this time and place. We believe that, “God is still speaking,” and has called us to form a new congregation, and to be a church that is truly open and welcoming of all people, and a church that is open to worship, study and ministry in new ways. We believe that God has called us to be a church that is meaningful and relevant to the spiritual hunger and needs of humankind in the 21st century. We are called to love God with all our hearts, minds and souls, and we are called to love our neighbors as ourselves (Luke 10:27). We believe we are called to follow in the way of Jesus, practicing love, kindness, mercy and compassion.
As disciples of Jesus we are bound together to proclaim the gospel, to serve humankind, to resist the powers of evil, to worship, to study, and to share baptism and holy communion. As believers in God and Jesus Christ and as sojourners who worship, pray and serve together, we are a church.
