Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path;
for wisdom will come into your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;
prudence will watch over you;
and understanding will guard you. Proverbs 2:9-11
Learning and sometimes re-learning is a vital part of the life of Way of Grace Fellowship. There is Sunday School for adults and for children. All learning takes place in an atmosphere of trust and openness. Everyone is encouraged to ask questions and to share their thoughts. We agree to disagree. We learn so that we can grow in faith and live more faithfully. We also laugh a lot in Sunday School (Dave always has a “joke of the week”) and we frequently share home baked goodies brought in by one of the many accomplished bakers in our midst.
Adult education has included both Biblical studies using The Kerygma Program and we have read and shared books such as, The Heart of Christianity by Marcus Borg and Oil and Water by Amir Hussain. Way of Grace has a growing library of current publications which everyone is free to borrow.
Children are engaged in Bible stories, and related projects. They are helped to think about how they can live like Jesus at school, with friends and at home. Each week they learn a simple prayer, which they share with the adults. The children’s program uses The Whole People of God materials from Wood Lake Publishing.
